Most recently, Garrett was a Staff Reporter at the Los Angeles Times and was the Food Editor of LA Weekly and Los Angeles magazine.
Garrett is also the author of three critically acclaimed cookbooks, including the New York Times-bestselling “Pepper Thai Cookbook” with Pepper Teigen (mother of Chrissy) and “Cook Real Hawai’i” with Top Chef fan-favorite Sheldon Simeon.
